Letter from the Chapter

Ladies,

Hello! My name is Elena Burek and I am the New Member Educator and the next President for the Alpha Theta chapter of Delta Delta Delta.  I am a Rehabilitation Science Major and am also obtaining two certificates: Pathokinesiology in Rehabilitation and Conceptual Foundations of Medicine.  As New Member Educator this year, I will teach our new members the purpose and practices of Tri Delta all while integrating them into our sisterhood.  It is our hope that here at the University of Pittsburgh you not only find your home but make amazing friends and memories along the way.

As a freshman here at Pitt, I constantly found myself searching for the group of people who would bring out the best in me and show unwavering support—much like in my high school years.  When recruitment came around in the spring, I knew it would be the perfect opportunity.  Now, two years later, I can safely say going through recruitment was the best thing I could have done in my time here at Pitt.  Both Tri Delta and Fraternity and Sorority Life as a whole have given me friendships, lessons, and opportunities I can take with me for the rest of my life. Panhellenic at Pitt is a great community to be a part of, especially if you’re looking to make this bigger school seem a little smaller.

Myself and the rest of my chapter look forward to meeting everyone, and remember to stay true to yourself and just have fun! These are friendships and memories you’ll be able to have forever!
